ESPN reveals âCollege GameDayâ Week 6 destination ahead of top-15 matchup
ESPN announced Saturday that “College GameDay” is headed to Dallas for the Red River Rivalry next week ahead of the top-15 matchup between No. 14 Oklahoma and No. 3 Texas.
As you know, the Sooners and Longhorns will make the move to the SEC next season.
Dillon Gabriel passed for 366 yards and three touchdowns and ran for two scores, and No. 14 Oklahoma rolled past Iowa State 50-20 on Saturday night to set up a battle of unbeatens at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas next weekend.
Third-ranked Texas did its part by defeating Kansas 40-14 earlier Saturday. Now, the longtime rivals will face off in their game in Dallas as members of the Big 12 before moving to the SEC next year.
Jonathon Brooks rushing for 217 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 3 Texas in the win. No. 24 Kansas lost standout quarterback Jalon Daniels in pregame warmups with back stiffness. Quinn Ewers passed for 325 yards and ran for two touchdowns. The Longhorns also got another standout game from their defense. Texas held Kansas under 300 total yards and has allowed just three touchdowns over the last three games. Jason Bean started in place of Daniels and passed for 136 yards for Kansas.
Texas will be looking to continue its path to the College Football Playoff, and Oklahoma will be looking for a signature win that could move the Sooners into the CFP conversation.
